This year's extremely active flu season has caused a surge in patient loads at medical facilities across the United States. Grady Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia has responded to the need for additional capacity by calling in the Carolinas Med-1 Mobile Emergency Room. This self-contained facility includes a 53 ft ER trailer with a custom boot that allows it to be complexed with Western Shelters.

Western Shelters are utilized by law enforcement and public safety agencies around the world, including Costa Rica's Fuerza Publica. They recently purchased two of our systems to be used by border protection teams as command and control and billeting shelters.

Fire season always brings us back to our roots here at Western Shelter. The company was founded in 1988 to offer a more sustainable solution for wildland fire camps. While we have grown significantly since then, protecting firefighters and incident commanders is still a core component of our mission.
